• You will be asked to complete a medical information form prior to your first appointment. A link will be sent to you by email or SMS. Please complete as much information as possible. Your Dentist will discuss this with you in the surgery. If you take any medications, it is helpful if you bring a list or a copy of your prescription.
• If you are unable to complete the medical information at home, please attend 10 minutes before your appointment time and one of our staff will help you.

• At your first appointment the Dentist will examine your mouth, inside and out, discuss your general health, and risk factors for dental disease. You may need to have x-rays taken of your teeth; this may happen at the Practice or you may need to be referred to the hospital for an OPG x-ray of your whole mouth. The Dentist will discuss with you any treatment they advise and explain the treatment options available. You will be given an opportunity to ask any questions.
• The cost of a private examination is £56; you will be required to pay this prior to your first appointment.
• Following your examination, if we advise any treatment, you will be given a written treatment plan which will also detail the associated costs. You may be asked to pay some/all of this prior to booking your treatment appointment. The payment schedule will be discussed with you during your first appointment.

• At the end of the first course of treatment your Dentist will discuss with you how often you should attend for routine examinations. You will be sent a recall message when this is due and you can book online (private patients only), ring the Practice or call in to make an appointment when it is convenient.
• If you are interested in joining our membership plan, please speak to your Dentist.

• Our dental care membership encourages regular attendance, enabling us to spot problems before they arise and helps you maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. 

• All of our plans include dental examination with your Dentist and hygiene appointments with our Therapist

*The Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme is a scheme established to offer support and assistance to dental plan patients who request treatment following a dental trauma and/or dental emergency or oral cancer. The Scheme responds to requests for assistance on a wholly discretionary basis. This means that, whilst the Scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, it has no obligation to provide any benefit unless it first decides (in its sole and absolute discretion) that it should provide a benefit. There are some circumstances in which the Scheme is not designed to help and these are explained in more detail in the Scheme Handbook. Each request will be looked at individually to assess the request for benefit. Certain restrictions and limitations may apply in the event that the request is accepted and it is possible that the Scheme will decide to provide no benefit.
